Warhammer 40K journey reawakened - part 1

When I was a kid of 5-6 years of age, I was all in with building LEGO, fiddling with small figures and playing with them in scenery, inside and outside.

I got to know the Warhammer universe, and especially the Warhammer 40K universe which was very appealing to me, and boy was I hooked. The very very distant future where everything is havoc, exciting!

My collection grew, as I grew, and I had alot of Space Marine and other fantastic faction figures. I sadly sold the collection when I got into the teen-ages, where all other things were more exciting.

But...

After many years, I had reestablished my contact with a life-long friend of mine. After 8 years, we got hold of each other - and now we talk every day, as we used to. He introduced Magic The Gathering, Anime (Bleach, Naruto) and alot of exciting board games. He talked about his restart of his Warhammer 40K journey - and that instantly sparked the fire in me! To start "allover" again, with building up a collection.

And guess which faction? Forces of Chaos!

I brought my oldest daughter of 5 years to a nearby game-store. She is extremely creative with painting, colors and other crea-things. She was very eager to be included in selecting a hero. Her immediate pick was the "Infernal Master" of the "Thousand Sons"-legion, of course she choose this one😄

I started simple, and choose a team of "Chaos Space Marine Raptors", along with a startkit of painting, glue, brushes, clippers and the bare necessities.

First thing was to glue the "Infernal Master", which was my job. Then a base layer painting done by my daughter. She was very excited to see this little figure, that would be hers to try and paint as good as she can, with my help aswell of course 😉

Stay tuned for the next part, where I accidentally dropped by creditcard in another game store, and out of the blue, just like that, had bought even more sets 😮
